Flexicurity and gender equality: advancing flexicarity policies in Denmark and Spain
The project is a comparative study of the gender policies in Denmark and Spain, with a particular focus on care policies and leave equality, on one hand, and gender quotas, on the other. We wish to describe the current state of the gender policies in each country, as a first step, moving on to the analysis of the differences and the factors that might explain the diverse developments. The overall aim is to assess the possibilities of mutual influence between the two different contexts with a view of improving the gender policies and the extent to which similar developments might be achieved within the least developed policy fields and what the conditions for such developments might be.
